Lions at Large Free Art Trail

Roaring into Gloucestershire this Summer! 🦁

In Summer 2025, Lions at Large – The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail will take over the streets of Cheltenham and Gloucester with 35 giant lion sculptures, each beautifully decorated by local artists. They’ll be joined by a pride of playful cubs, created by local schools and community groups.

This fun, free, and family-friendly Wild in Art event will turn parks, streets, and open spaces into a vibrant outdoor gallery - celebrating the creativity, culture, and community spirit of Gloucestershire. Download the app, follow the trail across our joint towns - Cheltenham and Gloucester - and try to collect them all. There will be prizes up for grabs if you do!

At the trail's end, the pride will reunite for a roaring farewell weekend. The cubs will return to their home schools and groups and the large lions will be auctioned off to raise funds for new cancer care facilities in Cheltenham - supporting digital consulting rooms, advanced research, and calming outdoor spaces.
