Award-winning restaurants in Cheltenham
We are fortunate to have many award-winning restaurants in Cheltenham including our Michelin Star & 4 AA rosettes restaurant - Le Champignon Sauvage and Lumiere, the winners of the Cotswolds Life Food & Drink Awards in 2019.
Of course not all of our award-winning restaurants in Cheltenham are fine dining establishments. The Coconut Tree, a Sri Lankan street food restaurant in the St Paul's area of Cheltenham, has won many awards. It has also captured the interest of some of the UK's most well-known food critics including Jay Rayner who visited in 2019 and described the restaurant as having a -“raucous, rough-edged enthusiasm to the food” which manages “that rare trick of being totally laid-back and completely on point at the same time.” Source - The Guardian.
KIBOU has been serving up award-winning Japanese food in the heart of Cheltenham for the last 7 years. Starting life as a basement restaurant on Regent Street with space for around 20 diners, KIBOU moved to larger premises in September 2020 to cater both for its growing number of customers and to continue trading in these Covid-19 times of social distancing. KIBOU won the SoGlos Lifestyle Awards in 2019 for restaurant of the year, the English Asian Food Awards 2019 for both the UK Japanese restaurant of the year plus South of England Japanese restaurant of the year among many other awards.
