Information for Coaches & Groups
General coach parking information: If you intend to visit Cheltenham please contact the helpful team at Cheltenham BID - info@cheltenhambid.co.uk. Where possible they will offer a free meet and greet service if requested in advance.
There are four designated coach bays in Royal Well Bus Station available on a first come, first served basis. These are available free of charge and for as long as required.
Royal Well Bus Station drop off and pick up arrangements: If a free designated bay is available, passengers can be dropped off and the coach can then stay at Royal Well until the agreed pick up time. The postcode for Royal Well is GL50 9SA. If no coach bays are available, passengers should be dropped off as quickly as possible in the nearest empty bay. At the weekend coaches can then go to Kingsville Road, Kingsditch Trading Estate, GL51 9NZ. Please contact info@cheltenhambid.co.uk for more details.
Clarence Street drop off and pick up arrangements: If you are bringing a group who intend to visit The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum in Clarence Street there is a non-designated bus stop by the building for drop off and pick up. This could also be used in case of bad weather or if many passengers are elderly and/or have limited mobility. There is a café, toilets and a shop within The Wilson, all with disabled access.
Christmas market arrangements: As the coach station can be very busy at certain times the visiting coach bays are only available for drop off and pick up. If you would like any advise on coach parking for Christmas markets please contact info@cheltenhambid.co.uk
Book a guide: If you would like a guided walking tour of Regency Cheltenham please contact Around Cheltenham Walks and Tours or Anne Bartlett Blue Badge Tour Guide.
Access: Cheltenham can be accessed easily from the M5. J10 is best if travelling from north of Cheltenham and J11 if you are coming from the south. J10 has restricted access while J11 has full access in both directions. If travelling from the east (London or Oxford) or west (Gloucester, South Wales) then access is via the A40. Follow signs to Cheltenham Town Centre.
