Giggling Squid, the popular and innovative family of Thai restaurants, is delighted to have now launched in the Montpellier District, Cheltenham.
Locals will be treated to a lunchtime Thai tapas menu and a separate dinner menu both featuring a varied selection of seafood, meat, curry, noodles and stir fry options.
Like all Giggling Squids, the Cheltenham restaurant has its own individual character and charm designed by founder Pranee Laurillard. The beautiful two floored space combines hand-painted framed stencils with bold, floral wallpaper and panelling, which add a splash of defining colour. Stunning light fixtures and soft leather banquette seating combined with intimate table and chair settings create a stylish yet welcoming setting.
Owned by Thai-born Pranee Laurillard and her husband Andy, Giggling Squid - the nickname of one of their three children - was founded in the basement of a tiny fisherman’s cottage, now the Brighton restaurant, where dreams of replicating a little taste of home became a reality and have gone on to establish a strong reputation for authentic Thai cooking with an emphasis on signature curries and coastal specialities.
