About
This summer, The Wilson invites families to step into Play Ground – an exciting, interactive exhibition where children can play, explore, and connect with Cheltenham’s rich heritage of outdoor spaces.
Play Ground explores the idea of rewilding ourselves and embracing the shifting landscapes around us. At the centre of the exhibition is a collaborative installation by local textile artists Centre Half, who have hand crafted banners and flags inspired by The Wilson’s collections and local plants using naturally dyed fabrics.
Families can enjoy a boating adventure inspired by Cheltenham’s historic Pittville Boating Pond, first opened in 1895, complete with playful picnics, and storytelling that bring the town’s parks and green spaces vividly to life.
Designed for all ages, from toddlers to grown-ups, Play Ground offers games, creative challenges, hands-on activities, and changing nature trails that encourage visitors to venture out and rediscover Cheltenham’s outdoor treasures.
