The Everyman Theatre has announced an exciting opportunity for pantomime fans to get their hands on a piece of this year’s record-breaking show. Until Monday 15th of January, audiences will have the chance to win one of ten signed Mother Goose golden eggs, previously seen in the theatre’s Giant Gloucestershire Golden Egg Hunt, via a raffle.

Each egg has been personally ‘customised’ by Tweedy, the star of Mother Goose, and is now ready to find its forever home! Well known for his off-the-wall comedy and creative genius, everyone’s favourite clown has been using his artistic skills to add a unique touch to these pantomime artefacts.

Visitors to Mother Goose, which runs until Sunday 7th January, will know that the story centres around a magical golden egg-laying Goose, who lives on Piddly Plop Farm with Mother Tweedy, and her two troublesome sons Caleb and Clarkson. However evil villain, Demon Vanity, makes it her mission to steal the Goose and her magical eggs for herself.

Priced at an affordable £5 per ticket, the raffle offers everyone the chance to win a piece of the pantomime to keep forever. Tickets can be purchased through the Everyman Theatre website from Boxing Day up until 15th January and the lucky winners will be drawn on 22nd January, 2024. As we’ve seen with the egg hunt these things can take a while to peak, meaning that entrants have a limited time to take home one of these coveted golden eggs.

The money raised will go towards supporting the invaluable work of the pantomime’s two chosen charities for 2023; Allsorts, a charity dedicated to offering activities for children with additional needs, and Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester which supports parents with children under 5 years of age who are going through challenging times.

“We are excited to extend the magic of the Giant Gloucestershire Golden Egg to our audiences and we hope this unique raffle will match 10 lucky winners with their very own ‘Tweedyfied’ eggs. Not only will entrants have a chance to own a piece of our iconic pantomime, but the money raised will have a significant impact on those in our community, through our charity partnership with Allsorts and Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester,” said Mark Goucher, CEO of the Everyman Theatre.

To grab a raffle ticket and be in with a chance to provide a feathery nest for your own giant golden egg, visit the Everyman Theatre website, or call the Box Office on 01242 572573.
