The World renowned Air Tattoo Show at RAF Fairford taking place from (July 19th - 21st) is promising visitors a thrilling, 'Out of this World experience'. With an Air & Space: Inspiring The Next Generation Air Force theme and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing combined with it's 75th Anniversary this year. The show is set to impress with rockets, astronauts, space entertainment and activities including a planetarium in the showground. 

Guests will also be able to view examples of the British commerical space rockets as well as talk to the scientists and engineers who helped to operate the rockets in development coming all the way from Airbus Defence & Space. Airbus DS's Pleiades satellite will also fly over RAF Fairford taking a photo of the show and visitors as it orbits earth to take a 'snapshot' of the event.

As if all that wasn't enough, space fans will be treated to British Astronaut Major Tim Peake who will be attending the show and making an guest appearance at the airshow on Friday, July 2019. Tim Peake said: “I’ve been wanting to attend the Royal International Air Tattoo for some time and this year’s ‘Space’ theme presented the perfect opportunity. I’m really looking forward to it!”

RAF Fairford was NASA's only UK transatlantic abort landing site for the Space Shuttle which was also lucky enough to host a visit by the spacecraft in 1983 which was secured on the back of a jumbo jet for the Paris Air show.
