Explore Regency Cheltenham on Two Wheels

We are delighted to be working alongside renowned bike hire specialists, The Bicycle Hub to provide locals and visitors alike with The Regency Cheltenham Cycle Trail. The brand new trail, which was only launched last week, is the perfect family activity that will get you out and about exploring a bit of everything that Cheltenham has to offer on two wheels.

The cycle trail has been carefully developed to take in some of Cheltenham’s most iconic buildings and landmarks from Pittville Pump Rooms to Neptune’s Fountain. The route begins at The Bicycle Hub’s premises at Cheltenham Spa Railway Station and follows the Honeybourne Line, before winding through Pittville & Sandford Parks. The trail then takes cyclists through the town, along traditional Cheltonian streets.

Although the route is six-miles long, the trail is perfect for budding cyclists and avid bikers alike as it mainly flat and offers a smooth, enjoyable ride. What’s more is there are plenty of rest stops along the way to grab a traditional local sweet treat such as the Cheltenham Dripper Cake.

Before heading out on the trail, bicycle explorers will be provided with bike hire (or e-bike hire for those who’d like a bit of a boost) & a helmet from The Bicycle Hub as well as a waterproof mobile phone holder and a visual tour guide pack. Cyclists will also have access to a brand new mobile phone app which has been developed by local tour operator Compass Holidays. Using GPS technology, the app acts as a modern-day tour guide throughout the route providing historical information and interesting facts about the town and other places of interest to enjoy during your visit.

The Regency Cheltenham Cycle Trail is a great family activity and there’s no better excuse with the kids on school holidays to get out and get active in Cheltenham.
