While all eyes are on Cheltenham for the thrilling Gold Cup centenary, behind the scenes, three local gems are stealing the show for their outstanding contributions to the visitor economy.

A huge congratulations to the Queens Hotel, Tailors Pub, and Greenway Hotel and Spa for adding brand new honours to the growing list of accolades held by Cheltenham’s world-class venues.

Racing TV Pub of the Year

Tailors, on Cambrary Place just off the High Street, clinched the Racing TV Pub of The Year, boasting 17 TV screens for prime horse racing action.

The team shared their delight on Instagram – ‘We are absolutely thrilled at last to be able to share our wonderful news… Tailors in Cheltenham has won the Racing TV Pub of The Year – after being voted the best pub to watch horseracing in the UK. A massive thank you to our amazing team and to all of you that continue to support us’.  

Master Chef of Great Britain

The Queens Hotel Head Chef, Simon Diprose, has recently become a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, a well-deserved honour for his culinary prowess.

The Queens team are delighted he has been recognised for his outstanding achievement – ‘We are super proud to tell you that our Head Chef SImon Diprose has become a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain. Membership is reserved for industry heavyweights at the top of their profession, who can demonstrate excellence through industry recognition and experience of working in highly accolated establishments over a number of years’.

9th place in 100 UK Best Places to Stay

And last, but certainly not least, The Greenway Hotel and Spa has been ranked number nine in The Times and Sunday Times prestigious guide to the 100 best places to stay in the UK in 2024.
