Located on Montpellier Drive, The Mahal, meaning ‘palace’ will serve refined, progressive and mouth-watering Indian cuisine under the watchful eyes of Michelin starred Chefs who have worked in some of London's top Indian restaurants.

Owned by the same company who own the popular contemporary Muse Brasserie in Cheltenham, partner Limon Rahman enthused: “After the success of Muse, we are very excited to be opening The Mahal next week. Guests can expect glamour, opulence, sensational food and superior service to make their dining experience truly memorable.
“Our award-winning chefs use only the best quality seasonal produce to create a rotating menu based on traditional favourites and innovative conceptions of their own. A delicious variety of dishes not usually found in Indian restaurants will featured such as rabbit, quail and crab.”

Located in what was formally the popular Spice Lodge, which after 15 years sadly closed its doors to the public due to the Covid pandemic, the building has undergone an opulent refurbishment and Cheltenham can now await the arrival of another high quality eaterie, to rival all others.

MUSE, which means “inspiration”, is a reflection of Franck’s Michelin Star culinary journey, leading with a classic French theme but spices from the Indian subcontinent and Far East play a big part in adding a subtle twist to those well-known European and Local British favourites.
