Have you ever been mid-way through your night out and realised that you’re hungry but the pub isn’t serving food anymore? Heartbreaking, I know. Well the Frog and Fiddle wouldn’t let you down like that. Although they don’t have a kitchen, the Frog and Fiddle allows punters in with their own food, and with a huge selection of takeaways on the same road, including pizza, Chinese and kebabs, you’ll easily find whatever you fancy within a matter of minutes.

The Frog and Fiddle is notorious among locals for being cheap and cheerful. If you’re looking for an elegant night out and you feel like spending a hefty amount of your monthly wage, then F&F isn’t for you. It’s an inexpensive bar in the centre of town with a local, young crowd.

For students, the prices at the Frog and Fiddle are too good to be true. There are special discounts available when you show your student card, which can nab you some selected drinks for only £2.55 each. But, if you fancied branching out and trying something other than your usual pint or spirit mixer, there’s always F+F’s original teapot cocktails, which are about the same price as you’d pay for just one glass in some classy uptown establishment.

While you’re sipping on your cocktails or chugging back the pints, there’s a huge range of music to listen to at the Frog and Fiddle. With an immense music venue available off the main bar room, the Frog host a number of events and shows every month, from punk festivals to Drag shows, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

If live music isn’t your thing, and you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy all of the biggest and best sporting fixtures throughout the year, then the Frog and Fiddle is for you, too. With 12 screens, all showing major events via Sky Sports, the F&F is often full of enthusiastic supporters on game-day.

But, if you want to get away from the passionate fans, then the upstairs lounge with three pool tables and a large comfy seating area in the corner. All you have to do ask at the bar for the cues and put down a £5 deposit to borrow them for as long as you want.

And if all of that isn’t enough to attract you to the Frog and Fiddle, you’re also welcome to bring along your four-legged friends, as the venue is dog friendly.
