A very warm welcome to Cheltenham - your cultural centre for the Cotswolds
Cheltenham was specifically designed in its 18th and 19th century heyday as a pleasure health resort for wealthy visitors, the legacy of which is an exceptional range of quality accommodation, restaurants and entertainment in an elegant Regency spa town.
Whether you are looking for accommodation for one of our Cheltenham Festivals, a relaxing break in a historic town, or simply a base for touring the Cotswolds, you will find a wide choice - from a 5 star hotel to comfortable guest accommodation, luxury serviced apartments or the freedom of self-catering or nearby caravan and camping, there is something to suit every taste and budget. Try our FREE Accommodation Booking Service on 01242 237431, where our friendly staff will find just the right accommodation for your stay in Cheltenham, or call in and see us in the Tourist Information Centre at The Wilson in Clarence Street.
Conveniently less than a hundred miles from London, Cheltenham provides easy access from all parts of the UK and is an ideal base for touring into the Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon and Bath. Regency town houses, with intricate ironwork balconies and painted stucco facades, line the historic leafy Promenade, squares and terraces.
Relax in its award-winning gardens, enjoy our impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and spend some time at one of our many fantastic cultural festivals and events - from horse racing, music and literature to family fiestas.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cheltenham - call and see us at the Tourist Information Centre at The Wilson - Cheltenham's Art Gallery & Museum in Clarence Street and find out more about all Cheltenham has to offer, including self-guided walks in the winter months and fantastic Walking Tours of our Regency town starting from The Wilson on Saturday mornings at 11.00am from Spring to Autumn, a new Hollywood Bowl in The Brewery or the IMAX screen at Cineworld.
