Aside from the green baize action inside the arena, fans can enjoy:

CueZone

In the main foyer at the Centaur, fans will find CueZone, where you can play on a full-size Star table identical to the ones in the main arena. Fully qualified WPBSA snooker coaches will be on hand to give coaching tips to players of all ages and abilities. It’s the perfect way to learn the basics of playing snooker or receive advice on improving your game. There are also plenty of fun challenges, for individuals and groups, where you can test your skills by potting balls, with the chance to win medals.

Chris Lovell, WPBSA Head of Coaching and CueZone delivery, said: “We aim to make snooker available for everyone and give fans a chance to play on the same tables as their heroes. To have a go yourself is part of the experience of coming to a big tournament, and encourages more people to get involved in this great sport.”

There are also half-size tables available for all fans to have a game, and this is the perfect way for children to start to play snooker.

All CueZone activities are free and will be available at the following times:

Monday 25th September: 12pm-7pm

Tuesday 26th September: 9am-7pm

Wednesday 27th September: 9am-7pm

Thursday 28th September: 12pm-7pm

Friday 29th September: 12pm-7pm

The warm-up

Around 15 minutes before play starts, our Master of Ceremonies Tahir Hajat will take the stage to crank up the atmosphere, before introducing the players. Then it’s time to sit back and marvel at the greatest cue kings on the planet.

The tournament will be televised live by ITV and other broadcasters worldwide.
