The annual Cotswold Festival of Steam normally takes place over the late May bank holiday weekend which this year falls 29 - 31 May 2021 however, GWSR have announced the following on their website -
"Unfortunately the current Covid-19 situation means that we cannot be certain about what services and events we will be able to run in 2021. We have already decided that we will not be able to run our planned diesel railcar services in February. In March we hope to be able to run some sort of service, which will probably be similar to the services we were able to offer in late Summer and Autumn 2020. As soon as we feel that we can make plans that won't be disrupted by more restrictions we will let everyone know.
We are keen to see you all at our wonderful railway again and hope that you are also looking forward to a steam-hauled ride through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside."

What is the Cotswold Festival of Steam?
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway's spectacular Cotswold Festival of Steam usually features at least eight locomotives in steam over the late May bank holiday weekend.
An intensive timetable gives steam train fans plenty of opportunity to ride behind all of the locomotives and some trains feature double-heading and interesting combinations of motive power. Attractions usually include the North Gloucestershire Narrow Gauge Railway; trade and preservation stands; traction engines; beer tent; 'behind the scenes' visits to the railway's large Carriage & Wagon workshops and much more. This is a family friendly event which train enthusiasts of any age will enjoy.
