Gloucestershire’s leading performing arts venue, The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, has just launched its new brochure featuring a packed programme of live entertainment, critically acclaimed shows and brand-new announcements for autumn/winter 2026 and spring 2027.

1. Annie
Tuesday 6th – Sunday 11th October
The hugely popular West End production of Annie, the world’s favourite family musical, hits the stage at The Everyman Theatre this October starring actor, singer and presenter Claire Sweeney as Miss Hannigan. Featuring a Tony award-winning book and score, including It’s The Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow. With limited availability left, don’t miss your chance to see this iconic stage show.
2. Paranormal Activity
Tuesday 13th – Saturday 17th October
Inspired by the iconic, hugely popular film series, Paranormal Activity, this thrilling West End production promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape their past, but they quickly realise that it’s not the places they visit that are haunted, but the people they encounter… (Recommended for those aged over 15, contains strong language and moments of high tension).
3. Twelve Angry Men
Tuesday 20th – Saturday 24th October
A life in the balance. Twelve men. One verdict. A jury has a murder on their minds and a life in their hands as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father. Although the case at first appears to be a fait accompli, the jury soon face a huge dilemma, as prejudices and preconceived ideas make them question their convictions, until the nail-biting climax. This gripping courtroom thriller stars Gray O’Brien (Coronation Street), Bill Ward (Emmerdale, Coronation Street), Ricky Norwood (EastEnders), Tristan Gemmill (Casualty, Coronation Street) and Ben Nealon (Soldier Soldier).
4. Cinderella
Friday 27th November 2026 – Sunday 10th January 2027
Polish your pumpkins, dust off your gowns and grab your glass slippers as Gloucestershire’s biggest and best annual pantomime this year is the family-favourite, Cinderella! Expect show-stopping songs, laugh-out-loud moments, colourful costumes and the usual mischievous antics from Tweedy the Clown. Family tickets are available, and there will be accessible performances, including audio described, captioned, BSL and relaxed.
5. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Tuesday 9th – Saturday 23rd January 2027
Inventive, gripping and moving, this critically-acclaimed stage adaptation of the internationally celebrated novel stars Joe McFadden (Strictly Come Dancing winner 2017, The Shawshank Redemption UK stage tour) and EastEnders actor Charlie Brooks as parents of Chris Boone. Chris is gifted with a brilliant mind for numbers but is unsettled by the unpredictability of people and everyday life. When a neighbour’s dog is killed, Chris finds herself under suspicion and is determined to prove her innocence. What begins as a search for the culprit soon forces her to confront truths that will test her courage, her family and her understanding of trust, independence and the wider world.
6. Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities
Tuesday 2nd – Saturday 6th February
This new production features Terence Rattigan and John Gielgud’s adaptation from Charles Dickens’ classic novel, now directed by Michael Fentiman. Based on one of the best-selling novels of all time, this epic story of love, sacrifice and redemption asks: is there any price too great to pay for love? In 1770s Paris, revolution is stirring, the reign of terror rages on the streets. For some, love is a lifeline, but for others it is a sentence to the guillotine.
7. Agatha Christie’s The Hollow
Tuesday 2nd – Saturday 6th March 2027
Renowned detective Hercule Poirot, played by Peter Polycarpou (Birds of a Feather), was enjoying a quiet break in the county before being interrupted by one of the most unsettling cases of his career. At The Hollow, an elegant country estate, glamorous guests gather on a summer’s evening, but beneath the sunlit charm, something darker lurks. A shot rings out, a body is discovered, a smoking revolver shakes in an unsteady hand. But is everything as it seems? Don’t miss this darkly seductive new staging of one of Agatha Christie’s most compelling mysteries.
8. Million Dollar Quartet
Monday 8th – Saturday 13th March 2027
On 4th December 1956, four musical icons entered a recording studio in Memphis and made music history. Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley were brought together by pure chance for a jam session, which would go on to shape the trajectory of rock‘n’roll. Now, 70 years after that momentous event, Million Dollar Quartet celebrates the night that changed music forever.
Starring stage and screen favourite, Darren Day (Hollyoaks, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chicago) as Sam Phillips, the visionary producer who created the sound of rock'n'roll, alongside a sensational cast and live band. Featuring over 20 hit songs performed live on stage including: Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Walk The Line, Hound Dog, and Great Balls of Fire.
9. Before I Go To Sleep
Tuesday 16th – Saturday 20th March 2027
Acclaimed actor, author and podcaster, Giovanna Fletcher, returns to the Everyman Theatre in March starring in the world stage premiere of Before I Go To Sleep. Christine appears to have an idyllic life, with one terrible exception. Every night when she sleeps, she loses her memory. Each morning, she wakes remembering nothing from the last 20 years. As she desperately tries to piece her life back together, hidden truths emerge, forcing her to question everything and everyone around her. Adapted for the stage by Rachel Wagstaff and directed by Loveday Ingram, the team behind the hugely successful stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train. This fast-faced psychological thriller will keep audiences gripped until its shocking climax.
10. The Full Monty
Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th May 2027
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic film that took British cinema by storm, The Full Monty bursts back onto the stage with a major national tour. Starring Kevin Clifton (Strictly Come Dancing) as Gaz, Stewart Wright (Doc Martin) as Dave, James Gaddas (Coronation Street) as Horse, Jon-Paul Bell (Hollyoaks) as Guy and Zrey Sholapurkar (Lark Rise to Candleford) as Lomper. This fast and funny play follows Gaz and his mates, down on their luck, but determined to fight back and bare a little more than they ever thought they would have to!
11. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
Monday 10th – Saturday 15th May 2027
Following a record-breaking three-year West End residency, two sold-out UK & Ireland Tours and Amazon Studios award-winning film, the critically acclaimed musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie comes to The Everyman Theatre for the first time for the 10th Anniversary Tour. Jamie is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in and is terrified about the future. Supported by his loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness and into the spotlight.
