The news Beefy Boys fans have been eagerly waiting for!
The cult burger phenomena have unveiled the first look of their brand-new Cheltenham restaurant and announced they will open for business officially on Saturday 25 February.
Burger fans across Gloucestershire were quick to share their delight in December when the beloved Hereford burger restaurant revealed they would be opening a brand new location in Cheltenham, joining a fabulous line-up of independent restaurants on Regent Street in the former Bill’s restaurant.
Promising a mouth-watering menu of dirty American-style burgers and loaded fries including delicious veggie options, indulgent sides, cocktails and their signature hard shakes – alcoholic milkshakes.
In a cool collaboration of independent food and drink powerhouses, The Beefy Boys also announced their bar will feature an exclusive offering from Gloucestershire craft-beer heroes, Deya Brewery. Ale Communications is a crisp session ale perfect for pairing with a dirty burger that will not be available anywhere else, and is sure to have crowds flocking to The Beefy Boys' new site in order to sample a taste.
The Beefy Boys, which was created in 2011 by a quartet of burger-loving childhood friends, launched its flagship restaurant in The Old Market in Hereford in 2016, having come second place in the World’s Best Burger competition at the World Food Championship in Las Vegas the previous year. Their second restaurant, located in Shrewsbury, followed in 2021. The Cheltenham premises will be The Beefy Boys’ third restaurant, alongside their signature food van, which regularly visits special events and locations across the region.
The Cheltenham restaurant, which has been transformed over the past month to emulate the burger-lover’s paradise that The Beefy Boys' fans will know and love, will provide seating for 160 covers, and features a brand-new downstairs bar, along with a large-scale burger mural and event space upstairs. It promises a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal between friends, after-work socialising, or a romantic dinner for two. There is also a kids’ menu for little ones, making it the ideal dining spot for families.
Co-founder Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy spoke of the new opening. “The Beefy Boys are so excited to finally be opening a site in Gloucestershire after having regularly brought our food-truck to various locations in the county.
This means that there is now a permanent place for local burger fans to come and get their Beefy Boys fix. We want to create a vibrant and relaxed environment for people of all ages to socialise and celebrate in the town centre. We can’t wait to get open and start smashing patties for the people of Gloucestershire”.
