This year’s extra special 10th anniversary trail takes guests on a journey through the myths and mysteries of the legend of King Arthur’s court, complete with an iconic glowing sword installation, enchanted woodland, mythical beasts, awe-inspiring projections and lots of surprises around every corner, to bring the Arthurian tale to life.

Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle is now open and runs until 30th December 2025, and to mark the 10-year milestone, organisers have created a timeless theme that will capture the imaginations of both young and old visitors. The celebratory immersive experience is brought to life with charming characters from King Arthur’s Round Table greeting you at various points on the trail and recounting the stories of the chivalrous knighthood.

Along with stunning lighting displays, there is a fantastic historical projection over the water depicting the knights of the royal court of Camelot, with the majestic ruins of the Tithe Barn providing a fitting backdrop to the ethereal illusion (pictured above). Visitors can also enjoy a selection of festive street food and warming winter treats throughout their journey around Sudeley Castle’s historic grounds and gardens.

“Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle is celebrating its 10th year in style with a regal new theme,” said Nic Beeby, the founder of the event. “This year’s trail takes its inspiration from King Arthur, bringing to life historic storytelling through specially commissioned light installations, reflecting the rich history of Sudeley Castle with all of the remarkable visual features and stunning landscapes.”
