Cheltenham based Dunkertons Organic Cider is delighted to announce that its Black Fox Cider has been awarded gold at the World Cider Awards 2025, the global competition that celebrates the very best in cider-making excellence.
Often described as the Oscars of the cider world, the World Cider Awards are organised by The Drinks Report as part of the World Drinks Awards. The competition brings together hundreds of entries from over 20 countries, including the UK, France, Spain, Japan, the United States, and New Zealand. Each cider is blind tasted over multiple rounds by a panel of expert cider makers, sommeliers, and drinks writers, judging entries on flavour, balance, creativity and technical mastery.

Founded in 1980 in Herefordshire, Dunkertons Organic Cider has been a pioneer in organic, traditionally crafted British cider for more than four decades. Using 100% organic apples grown in local orchards, the brand is one of the few UK producers to be fully certified organic. Today, from its cidery in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Dunkertons continues to craft award-winning ciders that reflect its commitment to quality, tradition, and real cider-making.
The Gold Award for Black Fox Cider is a testament to Dunkertons’ dedication to craftsmanship and quality. Made from a carefully balanced blend of bittersweet and sharp organic apple varieties, Black Fox is celebrated for its depth, character, and complex finish - hallmarks of Dunkertons’ signature style.
This latest accolade cements Dunkertons’ position as one of the UK’s most respected and forward-thinking organic cider makers. With its continued commitment to sustainability, heritage, and over forty years of craft behind it, Dunkertons continues to set the standard for authentic, expertly made British cider.
