The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has just launched its latest brochure featuring an outstanding programme of live entertainment and brand-new announcements.

From gripping thrillers to classic murder mysteries, West End hit shows to laugh-out-loud comedies and stand-up comedians, and (of course!) details of the Everyman Theatre’s much-anticipated pantomime for 2026, the new brochure is available to view online on the Everyman Theatre website, and here are 11 must-see shows coming up:

1. The Beekeeper of Aleppo

Tuesday 2nd – Saturday 6th June

A moving adaptation of Christy Lefteri’s best-selling novel, this compassionate play is a story of connection between friends, families and strangers. Nuri is a beekeeper and his wife, Afra, is an artist. They live a simple life, rich in family and friends, in the beautiful city of Aleppo in Syria, until the unthinkable happens. When their lives are torn apart by war, they are forced to escape. On their terrifying journey, they must face the pain of their own unbearable loss, alongside incredible danger.

2. I’m sorry, Prime Minister

Tuesday 23rd – Saturday 27th June

From the BAFTA award-winning co-creator of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, Jonathan Lynn, comes the long-awaited final chapter of British political satire and it is as cunning, cutting and catastrophically funny as ever. Brimming with razor-sharp wit, nostalgic brilliance and more double-speak than a press briefing, this is political comedy at its most timeless, and timely. Featuring Simon Rouse (The Bill) as ex-Prime Minister Jim Hacker, and Clive Francis (A Clockwork Orange, Yes, Prime Minister) reprises the role of Sir Humphrey Appleby.

3. The Last Laugh

Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th July

The Last Laugh imagines what would happen if three of Britain’s greatest comedy heroes all got together in a dressing room to discuss the secrets of life, death and what it means to be funny. This nostalgic comedy combines the wit of Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse.

4. Northanger Abbey

Wednesday 29th July – Saturday 1st August

This new production of Northanger Abbey – Jane Austen’s earliest major work – promises to be light-hearted, fun and just the right amount of scary. Directed by Paul Milton, former creative director of the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham. Set between Bath and rural Gloucestershire, this stage-adaptation follows the story of naïve heroine, Catherine Morland, who is obsessed with reading Gothic horror novels, which fuel her overactive imagination during her visit to Northanger Abbey with newfound suitor, Henry Tilney and his eccentric family.

5. The Choir of Man

Tuesday 11th – Saturday 15th August

The Olivier award-nominated, West End sensation, The Choir of Man, will make a visit to The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham as part of its first UK tour, bringing with it an uplifting celebration of community and friendship, where everyone is welcome. Packed full of hits from artists including Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Avicii and Katy Perry, this eclectic mix of chart-topping hits will be performed live on stage by a talented group of nine extraordinary instrumentalists, sensational singers and world-class wordsmiths. There will also be a real bar on stage, stocked with award-winning beer from Gloucester Brewery, and members of the audience will have the chance to hop up, grab a pint and interact with the cast before the show begins.

6. Our Man in Havana

Tuesday 18th – Saturday 22nd August

This funny and fast-moving adaptation of Graham Greene’s novel follows the hilarious exploits of James Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman in pre-revolutionary Havana, Cuba. Struggling financially to support his spoiled daughter, Wormold is recruited by MI6 to be a spy. Lacking any actual spy skills or intentions, Wormold fabricates an entire network of fictional agents and reports, using his imagination and local bar conversations. His absurd reports, claiming to depict secret weapons, are taken seriously by MI6, leading to real-world consequences as the Cuban government grows suspicious.

7. The Importance of Being Earnest

Tuesday 8th – Saturday 12th September

This musical reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s classic Victorian play has a sparkling 1920s twist, with fizzing comedy, art-deco design and a live jazz soundtrack which re-works contemporary chart hits (including Lizzo, Eminem, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga) and weaves them through Oscar Wilde’s effervescent dialogue. This adaptation of a classic is sharp, witty, romantic and gloriously playful.

8. Present Laughter

Tuesday 29th September – Saturday 3rd October

Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEndersFriday Night DinnerDoctor Who) stars as Geri Essendine in this new production of Noel Coward’s celebrated and hilarious portrayal of the temptations and pitfalls of theatrical celebrity. Geri is a hugely successful actress whose personality, wit and charm have earned her a legion of devoted fans, friends, acquaintances and hangers-on. Just as she is about to depart for a tour of Africa, Geri finds herself besieged by would-be lovers, her long-suffering secretary, estranged husband and an obsessed young playwright. Will she ever disentangle herself from their tightening clutches and incessant demands? And deep down, does she really want to?

10. Dracula

Tuesday 10th – Saturday 14th November

Adapted by Nick Lane, this brilliant, theatrical treatment of Bram Stoker’s adventure is set in 1897, on the cusp of vast technological change, scientific mastery and media innovation. But poised between traditional beliefs, the threat of the unknown and the shock of the new world, an altogether darker fear is emerging. As a new shadow looms large over England, a small group of young men and women, led by Professor Van Helsing, are plunged into an epic struggle for survival.

11. Cinderella

Friday 27th November – Sunday 10th January

Polish your pumpkins, dust off your gowns and grab your glass slippers as The Everyman Theatre’s much-anticipated pantomime for 2026 is Cinderella! Expect colourful costumes, show-stopping songs, laugh-out-loud moments and the usual mischievous antics from Tweedy the Clown. Advance booking recommended due to popular demand. Family tickets are available, and there will be accessible performances, including audio described, captioned, BSL and relaxed.
