Win your basket every hour, plus Christmas best prices: Big Christmas Weekend Event comes to Cheltenham on 7th and 8th November. Santa and his elves, free food tasters and live music all available at a free fun-filled family weekend.
Shoppers at Charlies Cheltenham have 15 chances to have their basket paid for, as the Tewkesbury Road store gives away a free basket every hour at its Big Christmas Weekend Event on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November.
There's a winner every single hour the store is open, so there are 15 chances to win across the two days. Whether it's a Christmas tree, lights, presents, a new coat or everything for Christmas dinner, one shopper an hour will reach the till and find out it's on Charlies.
It's simple to take part. Every customer who buys something in store during the event has a chance to win, with a winner chosen at random each hour.
On top of that, there are incredible savings across the store all weekend. That includes Charlies' best prices on every Christmas product, plus great value on clothing, footwear, garden, tools, DIY and more. Shoppers are being urged to get there early, because the best buys won't hang around once they've gone.
The free event invites families from across Gloucestershire to kick off the festive season at the store, which opened in October 2025. Santa and his cheeky elves will be in store, so children can meet him and have their photo taken, and some may even take home a small gift. Visitors can also enjoy free food tasters, live music and glitter tattoos.
Everything for Christmas is under one roof:
- Christmas trees: traditional, pre-lit and snowy
- Christmas lights: from tree lights to large light-up figures for the garden
- Wreaths, garlands and decorations
- Gifts for all the family
- Everything for hosting: from guest bedding to the kitchenware for Christmas dinner
Hollie Clark, Store Manager at Charlies Cheltenham, said: "Every hour this weekend, someone is going to get to the till and find out their shopping is on us, and we honestly can't wait to see their faces. With Christmas coming, it's our way of saying a big thank you to Cheltenham for such a warm welcome in our first year.
"When it comes to Christmas, you won't find better than Charlies. The tree, the lights, the gifts and everything for the big day are all under one roof at our best prices. So fill your basket, because it could be you."
The giveaway is the main attraction at a free family weekend. Santa and his cheeky elves will be in store, so children can meet him and have their photo taken, and some may even take home a small gift. There will also be free food tasters, live music and glitter tattoos.
