Cheltenham Lido has teamed up with award-winning local brewery DEYA, graphic designer James (Highline Creative), illustrator Genaro Martinez Medina (Medina Creative), DEYA artist Thom Hobson, and photographer Sam Legge to launch its first-ever beer - a limited-edition celebration of summer, swimming, and sustainability.

The collaboration has produced two specially designed beers:

  • All DEYA Pool Party — a refreshing 0.5% low-alcohol pale
  • Post Swim Refreshment — a 4.2% gluten-free session pale

For Lido visitors, only the All DEYA Pool Party (0.5%) will be available, exclusively from the Lido’s reception and café, priced at £4.80 per can. Importantly, 10% of profits from sales will go directly towards the Lido’s sustainability fund, helping safeguard the pool for generations to come.

A Collaboration Rooted in Community

The striking can designs bring Cheltenham Lido to life in a way never seen before. From Genaro’s bold illustration of the pool, to Thom Hobson’s playful ‘swimming crocs’ artwork, the final creative was expertly coordinated by James at Highline Creative and inspired by the Lido’s initial design concepts. Together with DEYA’s renowned brewing craft - and captured through the lens of the Lido’s content partner, Sam Legge - the result is a truly one-of-a-kind collaboration.

Cheltenham Lido CEO, Julie Sargent, said:

“This is such an exciting collaboration for us — not only does it celebrate the unique spirit of the Lido, but it also showcases the incredible talent we have right here in Cheltenham. We’re proud to launch something so fun and original, while continuing our journey towards a more sustainable future."

Building a Sustainable Future

The launch comes as the Lido marks major milestones in its sustainability programme. Thanks to donations and grants, the Lido has already raised £396,457 towards renewable energy projects. So far, the solar energy installation has:

  • Generated 140 MWh of clean energy
  • Powered the equivalent of 52 UK homes for a year
  • Prevented around 35 tonnes of CO₂ emissions
  • Saved the equivalent of 115,000 miles of car travel

The next stage will focus on using generated energy on-site even more efficiently, further cutting costs and reducing the Lido’s carbon footprint.

Cheltenham Lido continues to play its part in safeguarding both the pool’s future and the wider environment, ensuring that the Lido is here to be enjoyed for another 90 years.
