KIBOU is a Japanese hot kitchen, ramen and sushi bar. Inspired by the nostalgia of Tokyo’s bustling backstreets, it’s a laid back, eclectic, day-to-night eating and drinking den that fuses canteen-style dining with the golden age of Japanese whisky, sake and cocktail seduction.

KIBOU has been serving up award-winning Japanese food in the heart of Cheltenham for the last 10 years. Starting life as a basement restaurant on Regent Street with space for around 20 diners, KIBOU moved to larger premises in September 2020 to cater both for its growing number of customers.

Serving an extensive range of authentic Japanese food and drink, KIBOU’s menu features steaming bowls of RAMEN, made with pork, chicken or vegan broth, freshly prepared KATSU CURRY, and increasingly popular DONBURI, Japanese rice bowls. Alongside these, you’ll find pillowy steamed BAO BUNS with a variety of fillings, a range of TEMPURA, including their show-stopping softshell crab, and an extensive selection of handmade to order SUSHI and SASHIMI, including KIBOU’s signature and much-talked-about VOLCANO ROLL - salmon, avocado and tobiko futomaki, tempura fried and served with KIBOU house sauce.

To complement the restaurant offering, KIBOU also features a large bar serving an ambitious selection of Japanese WHISKY, SAKE, SHŌCHŪ and Japanese brewed beers.
