Seasonal Theatre in Cheltenham

Autumn and Winter Theatre in Cheltenham

With a variety of fantastic venues across the town, Cheltenham is spoilt for the year-round schedule of fantastic theatre performances on offer, and what a better way to spend an autumn or winter afternoon or evening than enjoying many of the great shows and acts on offer.

Such are the calibre of venues such as The Everyman Theatre, a Grade II listed building designed by Frank Matcham opened in October 1891 with a performance by Lilly Langtry in 'Lady Clancarty', and Cheltenham Town Hall, built at the turn of twentieth century to accommodate the many balls and concerts of the town's social calendar, many West End productions and famous names take the stage.  Musicals, traditional Christmas panto, comedy, live bands, famous faces and children's productions are just a selection of the variety of theatre that you have to choose from.

The annual pantomime at The Everyman this year is Dick Whittington and his Cat, which runs on selected dates from the 24th November to 7th January.  Join Dick and his cat as he travels from Gloucester to London to make his fortune and runs into the usual cast of Everyman favourites, including the return of Tweedy, along the way.

Why not combine your trip to the theatre with a short stay or weekend break, and enjoy the many other experiences Cheltenham presents.  With Christmas on the way, enjoy the fantastic retail experiences that Cheltenham has to offer, with High Street and independent stores, as well as the annual Christmas marketThe Brewery Quarter extends a variety of entertainment venues, cafes, bars and restaurants, and across town there are a superb choice of places to enjoy a pre or post theatre dinner and drink.
