Cheltenham Race Week is galloping towards us!  14 – 17 March, thousands of racing fans will flock to our Regency town. The choice of places to eat in Cheltenham is truly incredible, with cuisine from all over the world on offer.

Below we've shared some of the best dining offers and Race Week entertainment being offered by local bars, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. To avoid disappointment we recommend you make reservations.

Pittville Pump Room Irish Bar

Pittville Pump Room, new Shamrock Irish Bar

Located a short walk from Cheltenham Racecourse. The Heritage Café will be transformed into an Irish bar for race week. Enjoy a hearty buffet style full English breakfast plus pastries and free tea/filter coffee for £15 in the splendour of Pittville Pump Room, from 9am to 2pm daily. Sausage/bacon baps are also available for £7. After a day’s racing, from 5pm, drinks and hot snacks will be served in the Heritage Bar until 8pm, with free live music every evening.

Prince of Wales Sports Bar

Tommy Taylors Lane, Cheltenham, GL50 4RN

Serving buffet style full English breakfast and a pint of Guinness for £15 from 9am to 1pm, and street food and drinks from 5pm, with free live music every evening. Sausage/bacon baps are also available for £6.

The bar is conveniently placed for the racecourse, offering the closest race day parking to the course, £15 for cars and £25 for mini buses and coaches in advance, £20 for cars and £30 for mini buses and coaches on the day.

Located just a short stroll from the Racecourse, on the way to Cheltenham town centre. The marquee bar, located at the front of the hotel, is always a popular place to hang out pre and post races. A fun fine-dining Restaurant Journey offers a culinary adventure that explores tastes and sensations from around the world. Whether it’s a pre-race day Breakfast of Champions or perhaps you’re looking to end your race day on a ‘high’, Cheltenham's new and only rooftop restaurant, The Nook on Five, is one of the well-backed favourites for the four day Cheltenham Festival. Open 8.30am – 11.30am for breakfast, and in the evenings until 1am, with live music, bands and DJ’s. Race Week at The Brewery Quarter, Cheltenham

The Brewery Quarter is gearing up for its busiest race week yet, offering a great selection of bars and restaurants, a variety of breakfast offers and plenty of evening entertainment options. Brewdog and Brewhouse & Kitchen will be broadcasting all the racing action on large TV screens for those who would prefer to watch from the comfort of a bar.

A popular independent coffee shop and artisan kitchen. Serving breakfast every day during Race Week. Fully licensed, so you can enjoy your favourite tipple with a bacon butty. Taking walk in customers but booking a table is recommended.

Garden Bar Orangery

Serving full restaurant style English breakfasts with a pint of Guinness for £18, 9am to 1pm. Sausage/bacon baps are also available for £6. Join us after a day’s racing from 5pm for drinks and a selection of tasty street food, with free live music every evening.

Dunkertons

You don’t need to leave Dunkertons to catch all of the racing action. Dunkertons Cider will be screening all 28 prestigious races, including Gold Cup Day, on a cinema screen in the Tap Room.

With breakfast from The Woozy Pig every day (9am-11am), pizzas, burgers, and Indian food; veggie or vegan they have all you need for an action filled day of racing.

Home and Botanic

Offering five different rooms – an enchanted cocktail bar, clubroom, disco, piano bar and Bier Haus. The Warm Up Party kicks off the week Monday 13 March, 9pm – 3am, followed by an After Party every night Tuesday – Saturday from 6pm to 4am.
