Sandford Parks Lido is delighted to announce its opening day on March 25th 2023.

Sessions will run from 11am - 3pm and 3:30pm - 7:30pm. Booking is free and donation buckets will be available on-site.

Sandford Parks Lido and the Synchro synchronised swimming team

Cheltenham Silver Band will play as the gates open at 11am, just like the inaugural Lido opening day in 1935. There will be activities for children such as a bouncy castle, giant lawn games and hook-a-duck in the children’s paddling pool.

At 1pm, Almost Synchro will be demonstrating their synchronised swimming routines in the main pool. Almost Synchro are based in Bristol and perform all year round in lakes, rivers and Lidos.

The sauna will be in use and the cafe shack will be open, attendees are invited to join in on either session. Booking is advisable for opening day and can be done so here. Film and camera crews are welcome, too.

Sandford Parks Lido is a charitable trust that was formed in 1996 under the threat of closure. Set on four acres of beautiful gardens, there are two pools and a paddling pool. The main pool is Olympic size and heated to 24c - 26c in the main season, while the children’s pool is heated to 30c.
