We invited local mum and admin of the popular Facebook group, Entertaining the kids on a budget - Gloucestershire, to review The Leckhampton Players pantomime, Dick Whittington at Leckhampton Village Hall.  This panto is taking place until this Saturday so it's not too late to watch a panto this year, oh no it's not!

Here is how Kirsty and her family got on...

As avid panto fans we were all really looking forward to seeing this year's production of Dick Whittington, and we definitely weren't disappointed!

We followed the story of Dick Whittington and his companion Bobbin the cat as they travelled to London in search of the pavements lined with gold. However their journey is hindered along the way by the mean Queen Rat. Queen Rat and her mischievous rats do everything they can to stop Dick and Bobbin ridding the town of its rat problem. Can Dick out smart the Queen and her rats to find his fortune and true love along the way?

There are so many scenes to enjoy throughout and some really fantastic characters too in this tale of good triumphing the bad. Loads of audience participation too which my daughter's and niece absolutely loved. This panto definitely doesn't disappoint and is suitable for the whole family.

Located in Leckhampton village hall there is lots of on road parking in the surrounding area. Tickets are £9 for adults and £5 for children. The panto is running daily until Saturday. Tickets can be booked at www.leckhamptonplayers.com

Programmes are available for £1 and refreshments are available both at the beginning of the show and during the interval at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back next year to find out what the groups next pantomime will be.
