Delicious tapas at Bar Padron

New Openings:

Bar Padron, Regent Street

Last night Bar Padron, a brand-new tapas restaurant and bar, celebrated their arrival in Cheltenham with an official launch event. The Visit Cheltenham team popped along to meet the founder and owner, Matthew Wood, who shared the reasons why he felt passionate about sharing his love of Spanish food with our town –

“I have travelled through Spain quite extensively, and have always loved the simple, small dishes brimming with flavour. The style of eating has always appealed to me, and I think as a nation, our eating habits have evolved whereby we aren’t looking for a starter, main course menu. I feel we all want to try everything, and so often find ourselves ordering a number of starters to share instead.

Spanish food epitomises this ethos, so when I returned from an amazing trip to Cádiz, and realised there wasn’t a tapas bar here, I felt the need to open an authentic Spanish restaurant and bar in the town of Cheltenham. We have now been open for four weeks and the feedback has been incredible. With a surprising number of returning Spanish customers, we are certain we have achieved what we set out to do“

Sibling Distillery

Our award winning local gin distillery, owned and managed by four inspiring young siblings, has moved locations and you are invited to pop by!

The new premises based at Coxthorne Farm, just off the London Road in Charlton Kings, has a well-stocked shop, (you can also purchase Battledown Brewery products from here too) plus they run regular distillery tours and tastings.  You’ll need to be quick though as the July dates have already sold out and they only have limited spaces left on the August and September dates.

The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie

We recently popped along to see the newly refurbished Ivy.  We’ve always been big fans of the Ivy, it’s such a stunning and unique building set in the beautiful Montpellier shopping area.  The new refurbishment made us fall in love with the brasserie all over again!
