If you're like us and always meant to be super organised for Half Term, but never quite got around to it, fear not - we've put together our top ten things you can turn up and do!

1. Cheltenham Science Centre (indoor)

Did you know that Cheltenham has a science centre where your kids can get hands on with STEM? Run by two ex-science-teachers this is a great place to spend a few hours and see some hands-on science, right on your doorstep. Owner Dave Watson also has some great tips for at-home science, which you can read about here...

2. Holst Birthplace Museum (indoor)

As well as piquing historic minds, the Holst Birthplace Museum is running two half-term events which are a must. The first is on Tuesday 23 October (10.30-3pm) when your little monsters can make their very own monster masks, before exploring a spooky trail around the house! If scary isn't their thing then what about the 'Bake Back in Time' event on Saturday 27 October from 11am-3pm? The resident historic food expert will be talking Victorian food and you can even taste food from the period... if you dare!

3. Wilson Art Gallery & Museum (indoor)

Will your child be the next Antarctic Explorer? What about an artist or an archaeologist? Inspire their learning with a trip to the Wilson Art Gallery & Museum which has a series of permanent and guest collections. During half-term, you can also follow the Halloween inspired trail around the museum, and the World of Wonders (WOW) gallery is an excellent addition where kids can touch, play, sing, dance and interact with exhibits.

During half term, your kids can also enjoy Halloween Land with pumpkin picking and carving (no mess for you to clear up) not to mention spooky face painting, the maize maze, a 'phantomime', creepy crawlies and a skittles championship!
