The Cheltenham Trust Winter Programme
To bring some magic to the colder months this year, The Cheltenham Trust has created an original programme of events, workshops and performances designed to distort and challenge the senses, using some the town’s well known venues in new ways.
From January through to March, join a musical rollercoaster of emotion at the iconic Pittville Pump Room featuring ‘Pittville Sundays’ – a new series of events presenting a diverse array of musicians from the international stage including singer-songwriter Edwina Hays and Dom Pipkin in ‘The Sweet Sound of New Orleans.’ Brush up on your circus skills at ‘Roll Up! Roll Up!’ and play your favourite sports in the dark of Cheltenham Town Hall at ‘GloWinter’ – there is truly something for everyone.
Our inaugural family day, ‘Roll Up! Roll Up!’ kicks off during February half-term and promises inspiring and interactive arts activities for bright young things. Join a variety of workshops featuring circus skills, mime, clowning, cartoons, arts and crafts and with special guests ‘The Rig’ (CBeebies) and ‘Bruce Airhead’ performing live, this is a day not to be missed!
Riah Pryor, Head of Content & Programmes for the Trust, said:
“We have created an offer for families and adults through The Cheltenham Trust Winter Programme to bring our venues together and use the spaces in new, original ways. People know our iconic venues very well – Cheltenham Town Hall, Pittville Pump Room, Leisure at Cheltenham, the Prince of Wales Stadium and The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum – if you want to know what’s going on at all these venues our Winter Programme is a great place to start.”
