This friendly walking festival offers 17 guided walks for all abilities, with knowledgeable guides who can give you an insight into the countryside.
For 2012 the Walking Festival includes:
An insight into life in and around Sudeley Castle in Tudor times where Queen Katherine Parr is buried.
Walk the Windrush Way from Winchcombe to Bourton-on-the-Water through the hills passing the remains of lost medieval villages en route.
Find out about Winchcombes military history during the two World Wars.
Follow a section of the popular Winchcombe Way through tranquil hamlets.
Walk to Longborough, a pretty Walkers are Welcome village in the hills near Stow-on-the-Wold.
Walk a section of the Cotswold Way with the National Trail Officers and gain an insight into how the trail is managed.
Walk part of the new Holst Way from the Holst Museum in Cheltenham with one of the routes originators.
For the more energetic why not try orienteering on Cleeve Common, the highest point in the Cotswolds. Suits all ages.
Visit a Roman Villa, beautiful villages nestling in valleys, identify wild flowers, learn about birdsong or learn about Winchcombes historical past.

Explore this famous Regency Spa town accompanied by a knowledgeable, registered guide from the Cotswold and Gloucestershire Tourists Guides Association.

Get off the beaten track, discover Cheltenham s architectural highlights, the stories behind the buildings and hear about famous connections with the town. Learn about Cheltenham as it was during its spa heyday and explore the most attractive parts of the town at a leisurely pace.

Location: Highnam Court, Gloucester
The beautiful gardens at Highnam Court, Gloucester will be open to the public on Sunday 20th May from 11am to 5pm.

The gardens are famous for the spectacular roses and for the wonderful walks through a variety of rooms.
The Gloucestershire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre will be fundraising on the day. Admission will be £6 (children free) to include tea and homemade cakes. Music will be provided by Gloucester Brass and the Lydney Training Band throughout the afternoon.
There will be a variety of craft stalls, including jewellery, cards and handicrafts. The Worcester Barn Owls will be coming and there will be an opportunity to hold one of the owls.
